Our Sustainability Plan
Sustainability has always been at the heart of our co-operative and our WA grower members, and is reflected in our purpose: To sustainably create and return value to Western Australian growers, both current and future.
Expectations are evolving from our customers, government, and communities to increase our sustainability efforts, while changing weather patterns mean we need to be vigilant of the impact this has on the environment and on grain production in our regions.
We want WA grain growers to remain competitive in meeting customer expectations so that they and their communities can thrive into the future. Our Sustainability Plan is an important part of this as strong sustainability performance will increasingly underpin market access and pricing.
Our commitment to sustainability is not new and we have been publicly reporting our progress for the past decade. Our updated Sustainability Plan builds on this record, with five pillars integrated into our day-to-day operations:

Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)
At CBH, we all have a responsibility to respect one another, are inclusive and value each of our differences.
We respect the rich history and connection of Traditional Owners to the lands where we operate, and we want to play our part and contribute to enhancing reconciliation across the communities in which we operate.

Modern Slavery Statement
CBH is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery in our supply chains or in any part of our business.
Our Modern Slavery Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships, and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.
Our Modern Slavery Statement is made in accordance with the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018.
It applies to and describes the steps taken by CBH during the 2023 financial year to seek to minimise the risk of modern slavery occurring in our businesses or their supply chains.

Workplace Gender Equality Reporting
The Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) is an Australian Government agency that promotes and improves workplace gender equality and administers the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 (Act).
CBH is committed to improving gender equality outcomes and participates in the WGEA reporting process, publishing annual WGEA reports.
